Alexandria Petit-Thorne is a Canadian doctoral candidate in anthropology. She is conducting multimodal digital field research with queer performers in Toronto, Canada. Her doctoral research explores how queer performers negotiate and engage homonationalist discourses, narratives, and ideas through staged performances. Alexandria is interested in experimental storytelling, digital ethnography, research-creation, and the effect of digital technologies on performance and artistic practices during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
