Luiza is a Brazilian researcher, teacher and translator based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since 2017 she has been working and coordinating projects in the Multimedia Education Group (GEM-UFRJ) researching intersemiotic translation and audiovisual production as a tool for critical literacy development in the context of brazilian schools. Her reflections are majorly linked to the field of comparative literature which is also explored in her dissertation, that focuses on azorean identity and its manifestations’ in contemporary arts. In 2021 she joined MAL to support and learn from Guarani and Kaiowá narratives.
